What is Munich58?
Munich58 is an independent fan-led organisation, founded in 2001, by Mike Thomas and Elaine Giles, two Manchester-based, Manchester United fans.
Elaine and Mike organise, in conjunction with Manchester United, the Supporter’s Memorial Events that take place each year under The Munich Plaque at Old Trafford.
Through the supporter’s memorial events, the educational resources, the website and social media channels, Munich58 ensures the memory of The Busby Babes endures forever.

Harry Gregg RIP
It is with deepest sadness that we have learnt of the passing of former United player Harry Gregg. As well as being a great goalkeeper, he will be remembered for his bravery, rushing to the aid of team-mates and other passengers in the aftermath of the Munich air crash. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Munich58 go out to Harry’s family and friends.
February 2020: Supporters Events
Munich58 once again organised and led the two Supporter’s Remembrance Events at Old Trafford. The first one was prior to the match against Wolves on February 1st and the second one on Feb 6th. Photos and videos here
