Supporter’s Memorial Events

Every year, two memorial events take place under The Munich Plaque outside Old Trafford. These events are organised and led by Munich58 in collaboration with Manchester United. One event takes place 60-90 minutes prior to kick-off at the home match nearest the anniversary. The other takes place on February 6th itself, starting a few minutes before 3:00PM.

The events, which are MC’d by John Boyers, who until recently was United’s Chaplain, last about 20-25 minutes and involve a couple of poems being read and a couple of songs being sung followed by a minute’s silence.

February 2020: What’s Happening?

Munich58 will once again be organising and leading the two Supporter’s Remembrance Events at Old Trafford. Both will take place under The Munich Plaque. The first one will be prior to the match against Wolves on February 1st (time to be confirmed but likely to be around 4PM) and the second one will be on Feb 6th starting at about 2:40PM.

All are welcome to attend. If you’ve never attended before, the video from last year will give you an idea of what we do.

The MMMF are organising a Remembrance Event at the ManchesterPlatz memorial site on the 6th Feb. More details can be found on the MMMF website
